Garden State Equality is New Jersey's largest civil rights organization. Since its founding in 2004, New Jersey has enacted more than 200 state, county and local pro-LGBT laws. Though best know for its successful campaign to win marriage equality in 2013, Garden State Equality has also fought for and won a wide range of other civil rights milestones. Outside of marriage equality, its most recent victory is the Anti-Bullying Bill of RIghts, a law the organization drafted and for which it led a successful statewide campaign. New Jersey now has the strongest Anti-Bullying law in the United States protecting all children both straight and gay.
