Elvis is In the Building. Or Is It Elvis? PWR Benefit Features Music of Two Greats, This Saturday, February 8


Parents Who Rock invites you to spend an evening with Elvis or Elvis—as a dazzling array of local musicians interpret the music of either Elvis Presley or Elvis Costello—all for a good cause.

The event is set for Saturday, February 8, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the sanctuary at Bnai Keshet Synagogue, 99 South Fullerton Ave., in Montclair, and is open to the the public—adults only. Please leave the kids at home!

All proceeds collected will go to benefit Garden State Equality in Montclair.

Garden State Equality is New Jersey's largest civil rights organization. Since its founding in 2004, New Jersey has enacted more than 200 state, county and local pro-LGBT laws. Though best know for its successful campaign to win marriage equality in 2013, Garden State Equality has also fought for and won a wide range of other civil rights milestones. Outside of marriage equality, its most recent victory is the Anti-Bullying Bill of RIghts, a law the organization drafted and for which it led a successful statewide campaign. New Jersey now has the strongest Anti-Bullying law in the United States protecting all children both straight and gay.
