About PWR

Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. The Halftime Show is fronted by Ben Weiss and Daniel Brenner, multi-instrumentalists and quasi-mentalists who occasionally hypnotize others to join them in their soul-stirring hootenannies. (Fine-print: drummer Craig “Late-night” Levine cannot be held responsible for his presence in this band.) Daniel, who fronted the funk band Mamma’s Groove in Madison, Wisconsin, posts his musical creations at www.rabbidanielbrenner.com. Ben, an Essex County, N.J. native, loves any chance to strap on a stringed instrument and let loose, willfully flinging chips to fall where they may.
