Learn to Write Break-Through Songs with Martin Briley* At Workshops Starting this Month
Learn songwriting from Martin Briley, a prolific recording artist, songwriter, vocalist, musician, teacher and lecturer, best-known for his Top 40/MTV hit in the 80's ("Salt In My Tears"). His latest workshop is an absolute must for all songwriters and/or
artists, designed to teach them the tenets of good songwriting and composition
and help give them the tools and options they need to take their songs from
just being "good" to be "brilliant" and "unique."
The
course will cover key aspects of writing break-through songs in today's
cluttered, competitive market world, including Martin's "Seven Rules of
Successful Songwriting" and a review and analysis of hit songs past and
present.
Each participant will also have a chance to work "hands-on"
with Martin, during class, on one of their unfinished songs, as well as be given
weekly homework assignments which might inspire them to write new songs either
solo or in collaboration with other class members. All
levels of experience are welcome, only requirement being a basic understanding
of either guitar or piano/keyboard.
