PWR Performs at Crane Park Festival, WIllow St. Block Party This Weekend

Three Parents Who Rock bands, El Kabong!, Client no. 9. and Felt, will be playing at the Crane Park Festival, Saturday, September 25. The Crane Park Festival runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Crane Park on Glenridge Avenue in Montclair, and promises fun for the entire family.

At noon, Rizzo's Reptile Discovery will bring animals for children to touch and learn about. There will be demonstrations from Little Gym, Glen Ridge Taekwon-do as well as a Capoeira demonstration.

Aunt Jean's Toys and Treats will be selling popcorn, and several local restaurants, including The Wood Pit and Joey Thai, will be on hand with food.

On the following day, Sunday, September 26, Aunt Jean's Toys and Treats is holding its 3rd Annual Block Party. Hamstrung and the David Easton Bands with be performing. There will also be a Myachi demonstration, as well as performances from Broadway Performing Arts.

For kids, Montclair High School Students will be on hand to lead retro games including double dutch jump rope, hula hoops, Chinese jump rope and hop scotch. Time 2 Party will provide games. There will be a moon bounce and dunk tank.

Many food vendors will be there, including Toast serving a waffle ice cream dessert and fresh lemonade, Saveur Creole serving Haitian food and Vin's mobile food with hot dogs and more.

Several other local businesses are contributing to the fun. There will be plenty of games, food, music and more, at 12 North Willow St., right by Crane Park. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The suggested admission of $5 will go to help families in Haiti.
