Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. Just days away from a purple celebration! Join Alma Schneider and the No Rehearsals for a set of Prince covers before the Montclair Film Festival screening of “Purple Rain,” coming up on Friday, July 8.

The No Rehearsals will be joined by special guests—Marlaine Powell, Eddie Nicholas, Antoine Green and Ben Morss—to perform a selection of Prince’s best songs! The set starts around 8 p.m. at Van Vleck House and Gardens, 21 Van Vleck Street, in Montclair. Film should start around 8:30 p.m. And it's free! So wear some purple, bring some lawn chairs and a blanket, and come enjoy a great night saluting Prince in music and film! Rain Date is Saturday, July 9.
