Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. Mark you calendars in purple now! Join Alma and the No Rehearsals for a set of Prince covers before the Montclair Film Festival screening of “Purple Rain,” coming up on Friday, July 8.

The No Rehearsals will be joined by special guests to perform a selection of Prince’s best songs! The set starts around 7:30 p.m. at Van Vleck House and Gardens, 21 Van Vleck Street, in Montclair. And it's free! So wear some purple, bring some lawn chairs and a blanket, and come enjoy a great night of music and film! Rain Date is Saturday, July 9.
