On the Water, Geezer at Tierney's This Saturday

Come on out this Saturday, June 22, for two great bands with two generations of Carines at Tierney's—one, a band of youngsters, and the other a band of, well, Geezers.

On The Water:  a collective of oddballs, loons and hooligans, rotating around singer/songwriter Fletcher VanVliet.  On The Water's new full-length album "...conjures up the solitary, poor, nasty, brutish and short life of men of days past. With a step up in fidelity from their previous EP, Anchor, their new music does not sacrifice the grizzled, rag-tag, impassioned feeling of the West Philly basements that birthed the band."—Fred Knittel,  The Key.

Also on the bill is Geezer, which includes PWR stalwart Ed Carine, as well as Steve Wolf, Steve Knox, Scott Galbraith and Tom McDonough, playing old-timey rock and roll music. 

The show starts at 9 p.m. Tierney's is located at 136-138 Valley Road. $5 cover.
