Parents Who Rock: Benefit Concert for Haiti Set for Friday, February 11

Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. Parents Who Rockers Big Mamou and many others will be performing at the 3rd Annual Concert for Haiti.

Other performers include Jazz House Kids, Stephen Bryant, Passing Notes, Obed Jean-Louis, Chazzan: Meredith Greenberg and Leora Perlman, the Reticents, and Peri Smilow. Dr. Richard Besser from ABC news will also be on hand.

The show is set for February 11, from 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 67 Church Street, Montclair.

All proceeds will go to the Edeyo Foundation.

Tickets are $20 or $5 for children; additional donations are encouraged. Advance tickets are available at Terra Tea Salon or Watchung Booksellers. They can also be purchased online at www.ticketweb.com.
