Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. Parents Who Rock's Big Mamou will be one of the acts taking the stage for a very worthy cause January 29th at the 2nd Concert for Haiti.

Other performers include Christian McBride and Melissa Walker featuring Jazz House Kids, Stephen Bryant, Passing Notes, Bonga, Obed Jean-Louis, Maskin, Goldfarb and Field, Cantors Meridith Greenberg and Erica Lippitz, Leora Perlman and Bob Mellman.

The show starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation, 67 Church Street, Montclair.

All proceeds will be donated to Edeyo, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children in Haiti through education. Since January 2007, Edeyo has provided free education to children in Bel Air, Haiti. Learn more here.

Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for children ages 4 to 18, and are available at Terra Tea Salon, Watchung Booksellers, and online at Ticketweb.com.
