PWR One of the Sponsors of Multicultural Potluck This Saturday, June 19
Parents Who Rock bands will be among many playing this Saturday, June 19, from noon to 3:30 p.m. at a Multicultural Potluck Picnic and Concert in honor of school activists. The event, organized by Staycation Montclair, is one of the Toasts to the Teachers that benefits the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence.
The Reticents, Melissa Walker, Jazz House Kids, MHS' own Passing Notes, the Glenfield School Jazz Band, Electric Fusion with Takashi Otsuka, Matt Patuto and Josh Rubin, Angel Williams, Eugene Chrysler, along with special guest star, Haitian vocalist, Obed will all be on hand to provide entertainment.
The event will be held at the Montclair High School Amphitheater. Parents Who Rock is one of the event sponsors, along with Take Back the Kitchen, the Township of Montclair, MLK Day Initiative, Mayor Jerry Fried, the Unitarian Universalist Congregation and Outpost in the Burbs. In addition, Whole Foods will provide a coffee bar with money going to the MFEE.
