Musicians Needed to Play at Montclair Music and Arts Festival in July

The Montclair Department of Recreation and Cultural Affairs, in conjunction with the Montclair Arts Council and local residents, artists and arts professionals, is organizing the first annual Montclair Music and Arts Festival—a free event for music, arts and food lovers to be held in Anderson Park, Saturday, July 24, noon to 8 p.m.

The festival will feature the best of Montclair’s local musicians, artists, restaurateurs and other food vendors. There will be a performance stage along with tents and tables throughout the park so visitors can listen to the music, take in the artistic talents of our local artists and artisans, and sample some great food.

If you are interested in performing at the first annual Montclair Music & Arts Festival, please contact event co-coordinator Iris Schaffer, iris@propellermusic.com, 212 768-3400 for details and an application form. Bands/musicians will be reviewed by committee. The deadline for submissions is June 4. For more information about the festival, please contact Montclair Cultural Affairs Coordinator Eileen Sheehan at 973-509-4910.

The healthy food available at the festival is being coordinated by PWR's own Alma Schneider of Take Back the Kitchen. If you are a food vendor and would like to participate in the festival, please contact alma@takebackthekitchen.com
