Parents Who Rock: Montclair Rallies for Concert For Haitian Earthquake Relief, This Monday, MLK Day

Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. In response to the earthquake emergency in Haiti, the town of Montclair is producing a benefit concert THIS MONDAY NIGHT, with all proceeds going to the Red Cross and Doctors Without Borders for their Haiti relief efforts. The lineup will include Grammy Award-winner Christian McBride with Melissa Walker and Friends, The Reticents (with PWR's Bob Melman), 2010 Grammy Award nominee Stephen Bryant, the Passing notes, and others.
