Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. Two Parents Who Rock bands will be performing at the Crane Park Festival, an afternoon of free family fun at Montclair's East End, Saturday, September 26.

Sock Monster will take the stage at 12:30 p.m., and Doghouse will perform at 2 p.m.

The festival, which runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will also feature pet portraits by Phil Cantor Photography, demonstrations by Glen Ridge Taekwon-Do and the Afro-Brazilian Cultural Center of Montclair-Capoeira, and offerings from Barista Kids and many other area organizations and merchants.

Crane Park is located off of Glenridge Avenue, between Greenwood Avenue and Lackawanna Plaza. Raindate is October 3. For more info, call 973-509-3820 or visit the Montclair Downtown Business Improvement District website.
