Parents Who Rock: Grandparents Who Rock Debuts at Diva Lounge This Weekend!

Parents Who Rock is a non-profit association of musicians and others based in Montclair, NJ, who volunteer their time and talents onstage and behind the scenes to raise money for non-for-profit organizations throughout the community. Since 2005, fundraising events featuring PWR artists and other volunteers, working with the Montclair Fund for Educational Excellence (MFEE), have netted more then $200,000 for such organizations and causes as the All-Children’s Playground, Mountainside Hospital Breast Cancer Education Center, the Montclair Rape Crisis Center, and more. Grandparents Who Rock, a spin-off group from Parents Who Rock, will makes its debut Saturday, February 28, from 7 to 10 pm at the Diva Lounge, 369 Bloomfield Ave., Montclair, with a concert to benefit Little Kids Rock in Montclair. Featured performers include Jane Susswein, the Schuchinskis, Barbara Evans Hassenfeld, Jim Steiner, Meg Beattie-Patrick, Joan Streit, Rob Pignatello, Frank Cagliostro and Barbara McCarthy. There will also be an auction for great gifts from several local businesses including Casa Pilates, Gumdrop Hair Studio and Bistro 18. $10. Call 973-509-3000 for reservations. www.divalounge.com.
