Let It Slide

Let it Slide is northern New Jersey’s premier blues, folk, and rock band, winning fans with an electrifying blend of soulful, searching originals and one-of-a-kind covers of American classics.

Let it Slide is about to release the new album One Bad American on 1/21/12. It's nasty, emotional, rockin. Please check out the site to see updates. The band is raw now, with America profiled as she is. The album is confessional, a play to what it is to be a man now or in the past in America.

The band started in 2009 as a duo featuring the rich, stirring vocals of Diana Liddy and the masterful slide guitar work of Julian Paul Keenan. Their collaboration was rooted in fertile soil, with Julian’s commanding rhythm playing and head-turning solos holding aloft the gifted Diana, whose singing captivates with a whisper or a growl.  The two explored their passion for blues and classic rock, and ultimately began co-writing originals that journeyed into tender folk and American roots territories.

As they began work on their first original recordings, Diana and Julian met multi-instrumentalist Dave Gennaro, who offered his skills on bass and 12-string guitars, mandolin, and vocals, bringing to the mix an ear for harmonic coloration and a sophistication that lifted the band’s sound to new heights.

The result was Let it Slide’s 2010 release, Observer Highway, a collection of finely crafted originals that showcased the band’s penchant for depth in writing and excellence in musicianship.  These 11 songs capture the simple beauty of strings and voice and will guide the listener through a spectrum of unvarnished truths of human nature.

In the recent past Let it Slide has become more emotional and heavier. The goal is to add more depth and feeling into the music. With new lineups around the corner, it is the goal to bring Love, Slide, Roots, Hate, Voodoo and all that to the music. They are located on the web here: www.reverbnation.com/letitslide
